SPARC is proud to share news of its second Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Team Grant, marking another milestone in collaborative clinical research.
The CIHR Team Grant 2025, totaling $1,439,165 over five years, supports a team led by Dr. Daniel von Renteln at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal. Dr. Neal Shahidi serves as co-principal investigator, alongside several expert centres worldwide. Together, the team will develop novel artificial intelligence platforms to improve the detection and management of colorectal polyps.
This work represents an important step forward in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into endoscopic practice. This collaboration bridges cutting-edge technology with clinical application, enabling the potential to support more precise, efficient care.
At SPARC, this achievement reflects a continued commitment to collaborative and impactful research. It also highlights the value of partnerships across institutions and disciplines.
