SPARC is pleased to announce that the 2025 UBC Faculty of Medicine Summer Student Research Program (UBC FoM SSRP) supported undergraduate student Yaseen Mandoub Hashemi in conducting a summer research project under the supervision of Dr. Neal Shahidi and the SPARC research team.

The project focused on hereditary polyposis syndrome awareness and preventive care outcomes, with findings identifying important gaps in patient awareness and preventive care and highlighting opportunities to improve communication, surveillance, and long-term patient outcomes.
